Per AB 2881, all students who care for dependents under 18 qualify for priority registration.

1. All new incoming students and continuing students who we have identified as parents will be notified of their priority registration status via email at the start of each quarter.
2. If you have not received communication from our office and you are a parent enrolled at UCI, please contact us at spf@uci.edu.
3. Once you contact our office we will certify that you are eligible for priority registration based on one of the following documentation:

1. 1. Copy of the dependent’s birth certificate (if you’re not listed on the birth certificate you must attach verification of your custodial / guardian / adoption status.)
   2. Copy of a custody agreement, if applicable

*Scanned, digital copies, and photos are accepted. *For security purposes please do not email the documentation. We will view the document in person of via zoom.

To be included on the priority registration list you must be certified by the Friday of Week 4 of the quarter prior that you plan to register. Please book your appointment to show your documentation by Week 4 for priority registration consideration. Once you receive priority registration, you will have priority each quarter until you graduate (you do not have to re-certify each quarter).
