Our Mission

The UCI Transfer Student Center (TSC) offers supportive services for parenting students and their families as they navigate their academic journey at UCI. The TSC provides parenting students (guardians and caregivers) with support to maximize their college experience by providing a supportive and family-friendly environment. The TSC is dedicated to guiding parenting students through their academics at UCI and referring them to the necessary resources to meet their holistic needs. The TSC is an approved CalWORKs verification site and can support students with that process.

Our Goals

• To provide a support system for students with children and families.
• To help student parents, guardians, and or/caregivers transition, maximize their college experience, and thrive at UC Irvine.
• To help student parents, guardians, and or/caregivers reach their academic and personal goals.

• Access to Parenting Student Peer Educators
• Priority Registration
• Advocacy and support

• CalWORKs, GAIN, and Department of Education verification (and other verifications)
• Free testing materials and printing
• Academic and enrichment workshops
• Community of support and social opportunities
• A welcoming space at the Transfer Student Center and Student Success Initiatives
• Full access to Gateway Initiatives Services
• Graduation Support: Adult cap and gown rental program, little anteater cap and gown borrowing for your children, complimentary professional graduation photos for you and your family, and more!
